Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Parliament arrives in Hanoi, starting an official visit to Vietnam

Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Parliament Vyacheslav Victorovich Volodin and the Russian delegation paid an official visit to Vietnam from October 15-16 at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

On the afternoon of October 15, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Parliament Vyacheslav Victorovich Volodin and the Russian delegation arrived at Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi), beginning an official visit to Vietnam.

Welcoming the delegation at the airport were: Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Hai Ha, and Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Bezdetko.

Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Parliament Vyacheslav Victorovich Volodin was born on February 4, 1964, in Saratov province.

In 1986, he graduated from the Faculty of Organization and Technology of Machine Repair of the MIKalinin Saratov Agricultural Mechanical University, majoring in mechanical engineering.

In 1995, he graduated from the Russian Presidential Academy of Public Service, majoring in Law.

In 1989, he defended his thesis for the degree of Associate Doctor of Science and Technology; then began teaching: assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor.

In 1996, he defended his doctoral thesis in Judicial Sciences "Russian subject: problems of government, law-making and management".

He was a deputy of the Saratov City Council and the Saratov Oblast Council of People's Deputies, Deputy Head of the Saratov Administration from 1990-1993.

From 1993-2000, Povolzhie Human Resources Center (from 1995 - Povolzhie Academy of Public Service), he was a professor, head of the department of state management and urban administration, vice rector.

From 1994 to 1999, he was Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of Saratov province, Deputy Governor, First Deputy Chairman of the Saratov provincial government.

In February 1999, he moved to Moscow, participating in the establishment of business structures.

From 2000 to 2010, he was a State Duma deputy, Leader of the Fatherland-All Russia bloc, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, Secretary of the Presidium of the General Council of the United Russia Party.

In 2009-2010, MGU was named after MVLomonosov, he was the head of the state building department of the Faculty of State Management.

From 2010 to 2016, he held the position of Deputy Prime Minister - Head of the Government Office of Russia, First Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Russia.

From October 2016 to October 2021, he served as Chairman of the State Duma of the 7th Russian Parliament.

Since November 2016, he has been President of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

Since December 2016, he has been Chairman of the Union Parliament of Belarus and Russia.

From October 2021 to present, he continues to be Chairman of the State Duma of the 8th Russian Parliament.
