On the morning of February 19, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien chaired a meeting with leaders of departments, branches, agencies, units and localities to give opinions on contents related to planning and land use plans of localities.

According to the report of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, up to now, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has consulted and collected opinions from members of the Appraisal Council and organized a meeting to review the dossier on adjusting the land use planning to 2030 at the district level for Quang Ngai City and 3 districts including Tu Nghia, Minh Long, Son Tinh. For the remaining districts and towns, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has collected opinions from members of the Appraisal Council and will organize appraisals in the coming time.
Regarding the 2025 district-level land use plan, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has received dossiers from 7/13 districts and towns; in which, it has consulted with departments, branches and units to organize appraisal meetings for 6/7 districts and towns. The Department of Natural Resources and Environment has also compiled, received, explained and reported to the Provincial People's Committee the list of works and projects to reclaim land and change the purpose of rice and forest land use to other purposes in Ly Son, Mo Duc and Son Ha districts.

At the meeting, leaders of departments, branches, agencies, units and localities discussed and agreed to propose the province to adjust the district-level land use planning until 2030, in order to facilitate the implementation of works and projects serving socio-economic development and ensuring local security and defense.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien requested that the adjustment of the district-level land use planning until 2030 must ensure compliance with the Provincial Planning, the National Forestry Planning and related planning. Localities must be responsible for the accuracy and legality of the appraisal documents, especially the current land status and projects that have been and are being implemented.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment coordinates and supports localities in the process of preparing dossiers, as well as advising the Council on appraisal and approval of dossiers in a flexible manner, suitable to actual conditions. In the process of implementing contents related to planning and land use plans of localities, if there are any problems, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment shall report to the province and propose timely solutions.
Localities urgently register the list of works and projects to reclaim land and change the purpose of using rice and forest land to other purposes so that the Department of Natural Resources and Environment can synthesize and report to the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council for consideration and implementation of related procedures before the Provincial People's Committee approves the 2025 district-level land use plan and approves adjustments (if any).
