This 32-year-old man shared that taking his children and parents to the same tourist destination late at night in Nha Trang was “very difficult”.
When he learned about Nha Trang night market, Pham Van Dong street, which opens until midnight, selling local specialties and soft drinks, he took his whole family there to visit and shop, and everyone agreed. “Sitting at the night market, the whole family eating lobster together, watching Nha Trang Bay brings a very interesting feeling. The space here is airy, cool, and the prices are reasonable,” said Mr. Phuoc.

Like Mr. Phuoc, Ms. Thanh Lam, 34 years old, said that after 11pm, Nha Trang does not have many night tourism services, only a few bars, nightclubs,... and a few food and beverage establishments.
“Since the night market opened, my husband and I have enjoyed walking around and enjoying famous local specialties such as seaweed, lobster, snails, etc. It's very interesting,” said Ms. Thanh Lam.
From 6pm every day, people and tourists from many localities flock to Nha Trang night market - Tran Phu bridge park, this is the first night market in Nha Trang city to open until midnight, piloted by local authorities since February 2024.
The night market has 65 stalls, mainly selling seafood, local specialties, fast food and soft drinks, some bird's nest products, OCOP products, handicrafts, souvenirs, etc. The stalls are designed in the form of carts with many vibrant colors, which can be folded to return to the public space of the park to serve people and tourists who come to have fun during the day.

Create a night tourism highlight for the Sea Town
Mr. Huynh Tan Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Khanh Hoa province, shared that the night market was established to support businesses and production establishments in developing product consumption markets; meeting the sightseeing and shopping needs of consumers when coming to the locality.
Before the Tran Phu Bridge Park Night Market opened, Nha Trang City had one active night market and several other night shopping areas, but they closed at 11pm, were not large enough, and the goods were not special, mainly selling souvenirs, clothes, etc.
After half a year of implementing the Tran Phu Bridge Park night market, the number of visitors coming to visit and have fun at the night market has been evaluated very positively by the traders.
The dining area at the night market is spacious, making it easy for visitors to enjoy delicious food.
Ms. Le Thi Thuong, owner of a seafood stall at the night market, said that on weekends or holidays, the night market is "so crowded that there are not enough seats for customers."
“The location of the night market is very reasonable, with many locals and domestic and foreign tourists passing by. Businesses always comply with regulations and join hands to develop the image of Nha Trang night market as a tourist-friendly place,” said Ms. Thuong. The spacious dining space at the night market helps locals and tourists enjoy delicious food to the fullest. At the night market, visitors can also enjoy the view of Nha Trang City sparkling under the magical light painting.
Nha Trang night market - Tran Phu bridge park is being piloted by the local government from now until 2025, associated with the project to develop the night-time economy in Khanh Hoa province until 2030. According to this project, Nha Trang city is chosen as the key development area, in which the city center will be piloted to organize a walking street; "interactive night market", "Night food avenue", "experiential food street", artistic lighting works, night shopping areas, 24/7 convenience stores, etc.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Province Department of Tourism, said that night markets and night food streets are typical tourism products contributing to the province's night-time economy.
The development of the night-time economy in Khanh Hoa is in line with the tourism development orientation associated with a dynamic, safe, friendly and civilized image, while preserving traditional cultural values, diversifying tourism products and services to maximize the potential and strengths of the province.
It is expected that by the end of 2024, Khanh Hoa will pilot a thematic night market at two locations in Nha Trang City, including a part of the sidewalk of Xom Con Street and Hon Mot area.
