Dog ran into Da Nang airport, flight landed 19 minutes late

On the afternoon of November 14, Da Nang International Airport announced that a flight at Da Nang airport landed 19 minutes late, due to a dog running into the airport.

At around 14:58 on November 13, the airport's on-duty units discovered a dog in the parking areas of aircrafts 4 and 5 of Da Nang airport. The on-duty units at the parking area coordinated to chase it away, and the dog ran across taxiway E7 onto runway 35R.

This is the time when flight VN 173 from Noi Bai airport planned to approach to land on runway 35R.

Da Nang Airport, where the incident occurred

The incident of the dog running into Da Nang airport was discovered in time, 19 minutes before the plane landed, and did not threaten flight safety. The Da Nang International Airport's on-duty officer informed the air traffic control agency to let the plane wait to ensure safety.

The dog then ran from runway 35R through taxiway E4 back to the civil aviation parking area and was caught by airport forces at 3:25 p.m. on November 13.

After that, the aviation security force continued to deploy measures to handle the dog that ran into Da Nang airport. Flight VN 173 landed at 15:36 on November 13, 19 minutes later than planned.
