The workshop was attended by more than 200 delegates from Radio and Television Stations across the country and representatives of a number of functional units of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The workshop is part of the 2023 program of the Ministry of Information and Communications, and is also one of the series of activities of the Vietnam Press Development Project for the period 2020 - 2024 (co-sponsored by Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company Vinamilk) to support Vietnamese revolutionary press to integrate with the development of world press.

More than 200 reporters, editors, and technicians from provinces and cities attended the workshop.

This is an opportunity for reporters and editors from Radio and Television stations across the country to exchange knowledge and experience on digital transformation in the field of journalism, in the production and editing of television programs; thereby, contributing to improving the set of criteria for evaluating digital transformation at press agencies.

At the workshop, units operating in the television field exchanged experiences in exploiting, collecting and analyzing digital data, and how to effectively develop and exploit Youtube channels.

Deputy Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information Nguyen Ha Yen provided an overview of the radio and television sector in 2023 and the digital transformation trend in the radio and television sector in the coming time. Accordingly, the goal of digital transformation of Vietnamese press by 2025 is for 70% of press agencies to put content on digital platforms. 50% of press agencies use centralized data analysis and processing platforms, applying artificial intelligence to optimize operations. 80% of press agencies operate a converged newsroom model to produce content according to digital press trends...

To achieve these goals, the Ministry of Information and Communications has proposed specific solutions and plans: Perfecting the legal environment; developing and improving the quality of human resources; developing digital platforms and digital press products; strengthening international cooperation, etc.

On this occasion, delegates attending the workshop were informed about the experiences in producing television programs and managing content in the digital environment of Vietnam Television; digital business skills in the digital transformation process at radio and television agencies from Google experts such as developing readers and audiences - increasing reach and interaction from audiences; how to collect, analyze and use data to develop digital business; skills to develop revenue, develop sustainable business...

After 3 years of implementation (2020 - 2022), the Vietnam Journalism Development Project has successfully organized more than 20 activities such as: Organizing training courses, forums, seminars on technology, journalism and publishing 6 books on journalism; reaching about 10,000 press managers, media managers, reporters, and journalists nationwide.
