(NB&CL) Towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, local Journalists Associations at all levels have been including in their plans the content of organizing a preliminary and final review of the implementation of Directive No. 43-CT/TW, dated April 8, 2020 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over the activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association in the new situation. Accordingly, the units all said that, over the past time, the implementation has contributed to creating a strong change in the awareness and actions of the Associations at all levels. The implementation of the Directive has contributed to innovating and improving the quality of the activities of the Journalists Association to meet the requirements of new tasks.
Flexible, creative and effective application
Over the past years, implementing Directive No. 43-CT/TW, dated April 8, 2020 of the Central Party Secretariat (12th tenure) on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over the activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association in the new situation", the Journalists Association at all levels has regularly organized, encouraged and motivated journalists and members to actively propagate the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.
The Association at all levels has proactively participated in building press mechanisms and policies, consolidating the Association's organization, developing members, innovating the content and form of Special Issues and Journalists' Newsletters. Many training courses have been organized to improve all aspects of members' qualifications; promoting patriotic emulation movements among members and journalists... thereby contributing to the overall development of the Revolutionary Press and the Association of Journalists at all levels...
With the practical activities in the locality in recent times, journalist Le Trong Lap - Chairman of the Ha Giang Provincial Journalists Association said: "Directive 43CT/TW together with the Press Law and the content of 10 regulations on professional ethics of journalists. These are 3 important documents of the Party - State - Vietnam Journalists Association creating a tripod. It is a guiding stick and a solid foundation for journalists in Ha Giang to feel secure, confident, proactive and creative in their journalism process".

Along with the above 3 documents, in recent times, the Provincial Journalists Association and press agencies in Ha Giang have always focused on bringing the content requirements of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style into the life, activities and journalism process of each cadre and member. Identifying and pointing out specific contents for studying and following Uncle Ho for journalism - that is the journalism method and style of President Ho Chi Minh: Honesty, close to reality, understanding, concise, easy to understand and must be the voice of the people, of the Party, the State, of reason and truly the breath of life that is taking place.
Journalist Le Trong Lap shared: The decisive factor here is the Journalists Association, press agencies, under the leadership of the Party Cell and through the activities of the cell, mass organizations in the agency help the journalists when working with the people, with agencies and units to always maintain the pure heart of a journalist.
Similarly, in Kien Giang province, implementing the direction of the Secretariat, the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Standing Committee of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Journalists Association has identified the first important task as strengthening political and ideological education for members, reporters and journalists in the province. Focusing on coordinating with press agencies to promote professional activities, improve the quality of press works, local radio and television programs.
Journalist Doan Hong Phuc - Permanent Vice President of the Kien Giang Provincial Journalists Association said that in order to improve the effectiveness of the association's activities at all levels, the Provincial Journalists Association has a policy of implementing digital transformation. Make a breakthrough to affirm your position
It can be said that thanks to Directive 43-CT/TW, the Association's activities have made breakthroughs in many aspects. In order for Directive 43-CT/TW to truly come into life and be most effective, local Party committees, authorities, and relevant departments in many provinces and cities have actively directed and thoroughly grasped the spirit of the content of Directive 43-CT/TW of the Central Party Secretariat. Units have actively coordinated with press agencies and Associations at all levels to implement the press planning project approved by the Government; proactively provided information to the Provincial Journalists Association in the process of building mechanisms, policies, laws and in the process of organizing the implementation of political, socio-economic, security, defense tasks, etc.

In Khanh Hoa province, implementing Directive No. 43-CT/TW dated April 8, 2020 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over the activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association in the new situation... The Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee has also issued a Plan on organizing the dissemination and implementation of Directive 43-CT/TW. In particular, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee has assigned the Journalists Association the task of developing a Project to improve the quality of activities of the Association and its members with key contents such as: fostering and improving political qualifications, professional skills, and journalism skills; educating revolutionary ethics and professional ethics for members; strengthening the Association's role in consulting, social supervision and criticism activities and participating in contributing to the development of policies and tasks of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee...
Journalist Doan Minh Long, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Journalists Association, shared: To implement Directive 43-CT/TW, the organization and operation of the Association must always closely follow the leadership of the Party and State, directly the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council; Provincial People's Committee; Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. This is the leading factor to ensure all successes of the local Journalists Association.
“The Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Standing Committee of the Association are united, unanimous, and strictly maintain working regulations; all policies and work plans are discussed democratically and publicly; they regularly work closely with the grassroots, journalist branches, and press agencies, listening to the aspirations of members, creating high consensus among members. This is a lesson that determines the success of the activities of the Association of Journalists,” shared journalist Doan Minh Long.
It can be said that the proactive implementation of activities from all levels of the Association, the participation of departments and branches has shown the spread and effectiveness when implementing Directive No. 43-CT/TW.
