Poland responds to Zelensky's criticism

The heads of the Polish Foreign and Defense Ministries , Radoslaw Sikorski and Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, recently responded to President Zelensky's criticism of not delivering the promised MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, as well as intercepting missiles flying over Ukrainian territory.

According to Sikorski, Warsaw’s capabilities are limited. “Ukraine has almost 300 Polish tanks, a lot of heavy equipment, including aircraft, but we are also a frontline country, we are also under pressure from Russia and not everything is possible,” the diplomat noted .

Meanwhile, the head of Poland's Defense Ministry pointed out the priority of the country's defense capabilities over supporting Ukraine.

Poland has transferred a lot of military equipment to Ukraine, but the limit of the assistance is Poland's defense and security capabilities, ” said Kosiniak-Kamysz.

He further explained that Warsaw’s refusal to intercept missiles flying over Ukraine was due to NATO’s failure to reach an agreement. The politician stressed: “ The decision to shoot down missiles is always a response of the entire NATO, not just one country .”

Russia fanned the flames of Kursk, unleashing "firepower" that killed many Ukrainian soldiers

To salvage the situation, the Ukrainian Army counterattacked on the Kursk front; in a battle in the village of Zelenyi Shlyakh, Russian armored vehicles launched a lightning attack, killing many Ukrainian light infantrymen.

On the Kursk front, in the face of a strong counterattack by Ukrainian reinforcements, the Russian advance basically stopped and switched to small-scale attacks and regional defense in the newly recaptured areas; at the same time, more troops continued to be sent in.

The Ukrainian army also took advantage of the pause in the Russian offensive to launch a larger counterattack, and mobilized more elite troops from the eastern front of Ukraine to reinforce the Kursk front. Currently, a large number of mechanized infantry units transferred from Donbass and Kharkov have gathered in the Sumy province of Ukraine, bordering the Kursk province of Russia.

However, Ukrainian units preparing to reinforce the Kursk front are facing a major problem, according to military expert Anatoly Matvichuk, due to the rainy late autumn weather, the Ukrainian Army's heavy weapons can only reach Kursk by land. However, due to the strong activity of the Russian air force and artillery, these heavy weapons have been destroyed.

Currently, the Russian Missile Forces and Tactical Air Force are operating in an overloaded state, having to focus on bombing the Ukrainian Army's assembly points along the Sumy highway, making it difficult for the Ukrainian Army to concentrate large forces to cross the border into Kursk.

The Russian military also used Ka-52M and Mi-28 helicopters, as well as Orion reconnaissance and attack UAVs flying close to the border, using anti-tank missiles to attack Ukrainian armored convoys and reinforcements. The Ukrainian military also urgently deployed a number of field air defense systems to protect combat formations.

According to information from the US Institute for the Study of War (ISW), to relieve the Severkursk cluster, Ukrainian reinforcements launched a counterattack on all fronts from Plekhovo in the south of Sudzha to Malaya Loknia in the north.

Mechanized attacks by Ukrainian troops were launched west of the village of Zelenyi Shlyakh, including the Pokrovsky farm further west, which also faced fierce counterattacks by the Ukrainian Army. However, all these attacks were repulsed by the Russian Army.

According to Russian war correspondent Mikhail Zvinchuk, the village of Novovalovka, which was originally under the absolute control of the Russian Army, has been captured by the Ukrainian Army. But the Ukrainian Army has not yet taken control of the village and it is currently in a state of stalemate between the two sides.

The Ukrainian Army also attempted a counterattack west of the village of Liubimovka. After being defeated by the Russians, the Ukrainian Army retreated to the Zelenyi Shlyakh area. During the large-scale counterattack, the Ukrainian Army also used UAVs, spraying molten thermite on Russian defense positions.

On the northern front line, the Russian Army, after recapturing the village of Olgovka, pushed the Ukrainian army into the Olgovsky forest. Now, Russian infantry has entered the forest to conduct a sweep. Fierce fighting broke out between the two sides near the east of the village of Kremyanoe, the fighting has not stopped, but this village is still under the absolute control of the Russian Army.

Russia is attacking like a storm, Donbass is on the verge of collapse

The situation of the Ukrainian Army on the central front of Donbass is getting out of control, 200,000 Russian troops are preparing to attack in the direction of Zaporozhye. General Syrsky is losing command over his subordinates.

According to the German newspaper Bild, in just the past 3 days, the Russian Army has captured 8 residential areas including: Bogoyavlenka, Katerinovka, Alexandro Bol, Gornyak, Selidovo, Shakhtyorskoye, Vishnevoy and Izmailovka. All of these positions are on the Donbass front.

" The Central Group of Forces has taken control of the Izmailovka residential area in Donetsk ," the Russian Defense Ministry said. Russian media also released video footage showing Ukrainian troops retreating en masse from their positions in Izmailovka, trying to escape the village just across the open field, amid a "rain of bullets" from Russian artillery.

According to Russian media, the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Izmailovka was as disorganized as the actions of the 72nd Motorized Infantry Brigade, which, when escaping from the Ugladal fortress, was also heavily shelled by Russian artillery and suffered heavy losses.

Ukraine's Resident channel quoted the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army as saying that General Syrsky, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Army, is losing control of the situation on the front lines in eastern Ukraine and Russia's Kursk province. Because many battlefield commanders here have ignored orders from their superiors and decided to withdraw their troops from their positions to preserve their forces.

According to the information we received from the General Staff, the last Ukrainian soldiers have been evacuated from Selidovo, and there is no real fighting in the city. The morale of the troops is extremely low. Kiev has lost control of the situation because the field commanders are making their own decisions to retreat from their positions ,” the Resident channel wrote.

According to the Russian website Topwar, the Russian Army Group Center is clearing the remnants of the Ukrainian Army in Selidove. The Russian Defense Ministry officially confirmed on October 30 that it had taken full control of Selidovo. The city, which the Ukrainian Army intended to hold for at least a month, surrendered four days after it was officially attacked.

Ukraine destroyed more than 20,000 Russian artillery pieces

The Ukrainian General Staff announced that Russia has lost a total of 20,013 artillery pieces since Moscow's forces launched a special military operation in Ukraine in February 2022.

According to Newsweek, in a statement on October 31, the Ukrainian General Staff said that since early morning on October 30 alone, Russia had lost a total of 58 artillery systems during the conflict.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet commented on the above information.

Artillery is an important weapon in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Kiev forces use a variety of artillery systems, including the US-made HIMARS High Mobility Artillery Rocket System. In addition, Ukraine has developed its own 155mm Bohdana self-propelled howitzer. President Volodymyr Zelensky said on October 30 that Ukraine is producing nearly 20 Bohdana howitzers per month.

The bulk of casualties across hundreds of miles of frontline in eastern and southern Ukraine are also often described as artillery-related.
