The Association of Journalists of Education and Times Newspaper continues to innovate and improve the quality of its activities.

At the meeting, Mr. Trieu Ngoc Lam - Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief said he was very happy to welcome the Inspection Committee of the Journalists Association. This is an opportunity for the agency and the Association to gain more experience and exposure.

Mr. Trieu Ngoc Lam, Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief, Chairman of the Council for Handling Violations of Journalists' Ethics, made a number of recommendations to the Inspection Team.

Mr. Trieu Ngoc Lam said that in the recent past, the Party Committee and the Editorial Board have paid great attention to the work of the Association - this is the main driving force to maintain the organization's operational order. The relationship between the Association and the Government in the newspaper is also very balanced, not imposing when determining that the Association is an independent, critical agency and also to protect its members.

Mr. Trieu Ngoc Lam also made some recommendations. Firstly, he hoped that the Inspection Board would always pay attention and be close to the Association, strictly and closely monitor to point out signs and actions that members may be at risk of violating. If there are related violations, the Inspection Board will have timely instructions to handle them in accordance with the regulations.

Second, the Journalists Association has more measures to protect the rights of members from the Editorial Board down.

The Inspection Team is headed by Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan.

Third, the Vietnam Journalists Association will pay more attention to the journalistic activities. In addition, from the Association's perspective, it is also necessary to advise the editorial board on comments on amending the Press Law to suit current practices.

In addition to focusing on the inspection content, at the working session, the two sides discussed a number of issues related to branch development and future directions.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan - Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association said that the opinions of comrade Trieu Ngoc Lam are the concerns of a true journalist. These are very practical and timely recommendations. The Journalists Association always accompanies its members in terms of criticism, law-making, etc.

The Association of Journalists of Education and Times Newspaper is a press agency with a long tradition and a large number of members. The Association has done a good job of fostering professional skills and ethics, closely following the policies and propaganda of the education sector. The Association has participated in the National Press Festival and won high prizes, fully participated in professional training courses, and had many works submitted to the national press awards, etc.

The Secretariat of the Association is very interested in the Association's work, has many concerns to develop, innovate the content and quality of the Association, the work of protecting members is also concerned such as creating conditions for members to access expertise, having orientation to invite lecturers to guide professional work; quickly perfecting the Council for handling violations of journalistic ethics; doing a good job of recruiting members, changing membership cards, and collecting membership fees.

The activities of the Education and Times Journalists Association can be replicated by other press agencies in the same field.
