Tax Department of Region XIX: Implementing policies and supporting tax settlement in 2024

The conference introduced a number of new tax policies, amendments and supplements and some notes on tax settlement in 2024. Accordingly, Resolution No. 66/2024/UBTVQHI5 dated December 24, 2024 on environmental protection tax rates for gasoline, oil, and grease; Decree No. 180/2024/ND-CP dated December 31, 2024 of the Government regulating the policy of reducing value added tax (VAT) according to Resolution No. 174/2024/QH15 dated November 30, 2024 of the National Assembly; some new points of Circular No. 86/2024/TT-BTC dated December 23, 2024 of the Ministry of Finance regulating tax registration; Decree No. 20/2025/ND-CP dated February 10, 2025 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 132/2020/ND-CP dated November 5, 2020 of the Government regulating tax management for enterprises with related-party transactions; Decree No. 49/2025/ND-CP dated February 28, 2025 of the Government regulating the threshold for temporary suspension of exit; a number of new points of the Law on Value Added Tax No. 48/2024/QH15; amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Law on Tax Administration; a number of contents to note related to the finalization of corporate income tax and personal income tax in 2024.

At the conference, the difficulties of enterprises in Can Tho city, An Giang, Dong Thap and Hau Giang provinces regarding personal income tax, value added tax refund, export tax, family deduction, personal income tax payment deadline, personal income tax declaration, personal income tax finalization, tax incentives for enterprises investing in particularly difficult areas were promptly answered by tax sector leaders.
