As the unit assigned to receive and train new soldiers, Regiment 95 (Division 2) annually receives hundreds of new recruits from many provinces and cities. Entering each new soldier receiving season, the unit is always close and thoughtful in all preparations.
Major Mai Quoc Linh, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Command of M'Drắk District, worked for 11 years at Regiment 95. He grew up from a platoon, company, to battalion level officer, so he understands young soldiers very well. New recruits entering the military environment are quite bewildered, so they need special attention and care. Understanding this, every year when organizing receptions, Battalion 9 where he works organizes festive decorations and plans to welcome new soldiers thoughtfully and solemnly. The unit prepares signs, arranges flowers, and ornamental plants right at the barracks gate; officers at all battalion levels dress neatly to welcome new recruits. Representatives of the command and local authorities prepare fresh bouquets of flowers to welcome young soldiers to work and study at the unit...
Each season of receiving and training new soldiers leaves unforgettable impressions. In particular, the years 2021 and 2022 become even more special when the unit carries out a "dual mission", both training for combat readiness and preventing and fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Major Mai Quoc Linh recounted: The entire unit must fully implement epidemic prevention measures, regularly wear masks when studying and living; even meals must be divided into shifts, always ensuring a safe distance to prevent epidemics. COVID-19 has been prolonged, relatives cannot visit soldiers, so officers at all levels must be more attentive and encourage new soldiers. Platoons prepare phones so that soldiers can connect to Zalo to chat and visit their families; set up Zalo pages for the rear - soldiers and regularly post information and activities for relatives to grasp. On weekends, the Battalion organizes soldiers to write handwritten letters so that young soldiers have more opportunities to share their thoughts with their families...
At Regiment 66 (Army Corps 34), the work of receiving new soldiers is carried out in the spirit of all for the soldiers. Many months ago, officers and soldiers of Regiment 66 renovated the barracks, prepared training facilities, lesson plans, and lectures; deployed for officers at all levels to study new initiatives and improvements that apply science and technology to training tasks.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Anh Thuong, Deputy Political Commissar of Regiment 66, said: "Going through each new soldier recruitment season, we see that the citizens joining the army are increasingly educated, have a higher level of awareness, and follow military discipline very well. The young people integrate very quickly into an environment of iron discipline."
At Battalion 303 (Regiment 584, Provincial Military Command), each year, the unit receives more than 400 citizens from districts, towns and cities in the province. It is impossible to mention all the efforts of the unit and of cadres at all levels in persistently taking care of the soldiers so that they can study and work with peace of mind. In response, the young soldiers gradually get used to it, adapt and enthusiastically contribute to beautify the barracks and enrich the achievements of the unit.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Duong, Political Commissar of Battalion 303, proudly said: "The achievements the unit has achieved every year are greatly contributed by the soldiers. With their talent, ingenuity and intelligence, the young soldiers have carried out many meaningful projects and tasks; enthusiastically participated and achieved high results in competitions and sports events; and excellently completed all assigned tasks...".
Steering the special “ferries”, the units receiving and training new soldiers have been focusing on preparing fully and thoughtfully to welcome the new recruits. From there, creating determination and a competitive atmosphere for the new training season to reap many successes, achieving higher results than last year.
