On the evening of October 10, a large fire broke out in a row of houses inside Duc Giang General Hospital (Duc Giang ward, Long Bien district, Hanoi).

Locals said the fire broke out in a row of houses located next to Truong Lam Street. The fire spread quickly, engulfing the row of houses with many kiosks.

Upon receiving the news, many fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Long Bien District Police and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police arrived at the scene to rescue and extinguish the fire.

The leader of Duc Giang Ward People's Committee informed that the area where the fire broke out was the medical supplies storage area and the hospital's canteen. By 9:45 p.m., the fire was under control, and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police were still on duty at the scene to put out the fire and prevent it from re-igniting.

"Initially, no human casualties were recorded, property damage is being counted," said a representative of Duc Giang Ward People's Committee.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
