Nguyen Khanh Linh has just become the valedictorian of Foreign Trade University in 2024 with an excellent graduation certificate and a transcript of 45 subjects with all A's.

During 4 years of studying at Foreign Trade University, in 45 subjects with a total of 137 credits, Nguyen Khanh Linh (student majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management with international career orientation, majoring in International Business, course 59) got A's in all. The cumulative average score was 4.0/4.0.
There are 2 subjects that Khanh Linh got perfect scores on a 10-point scale. She also got 9.5 points in her graduation thesis.
With this result, the female student from Thai Nguyen became the valedictorian of the entire Foreign Trade University in the 2024 graduation season (2020-2024 course).
Linh said she was very happy with the results of her efforts over the past 4 years.
“I am also lucky to have received a lot of help from my family, friends and teachers at school during my studies to achieve the results I have today,” Linh shared.
Four years ago, Linh was admitted early to the Foreign Trade University and several other schools based on a combination of her high school transcript and her second prize in the provincial English competition. At that time, the female student from Thai Nguyen High School for the Gifted had no specific intention of enrolling in any university. Confused about her options, Linh decided to go to Hanoi to visit, learn and receive admissions advice from the schools.
“That time, I participated in the Foreign Trade University’s Admissions Fair and was impressed by how the university’s students organized a big event in a very professional and dynamic manner. I also want to develop in such an environment,” Linh said.
Linh chose to major in Logistics and Supply Chain Management because this is a broad field of study, related to many fields and after graduation, she can work in many positions and stages in many businesses.
To achieve today's results, Linh believes that she has no special secret but simply determines the top priority for studying and maintains the spirit of studying during her time as a student. According to Linh, diligence is very important. She tries not to miss a single class. "In class, I listen directly to the lectures from the teachers, which helps me grasp the knowledge easily and saves time reviewing at home. From there, reviewing for exams is also easier," Linh shared.
During the study process, especially near exams, Linh often re-reads basic theoretical knowledge before applying it to practice or solving exercises.
Khanh Linh said that being an “English major” was also an advantage during her studies at the Foreign Trade University. “In my curriculum, the basic and specialized subjects are taught in English. Having a foundation in English makes it easier for me to absorb knowledge. Especially in the process of scientific research, it helps me to find more information,” Linh shared.

Prioritizing studying and having a clear plan, Khanh Linh received the school's scholarship for students with excellent academic performance in 6 semesters. She also studied and passed the IELTS test with an 8.0 score, and obtained a Chinese certificate HSK 3 (the highest level is 6).
Khanh Linh said that what she regrets is not being able to participate in more extracurricular activities and scientific research.
She has been involved in scientific research since her second year, focusing on the fields of import and export and agricultural products. Khanh Linh is the author of 5 scientific articles (2 published in international conference proceedings, 1 published in the Finance Journal, 2 published in the school conference proceedings), of which 4 were written in English.
Linh also won the Encouragement Prize at the 2022 Student Scientific Research Competition.
Not only is she a good student, she is also the class monitor of the English 2 Administration class - LOG -K59, participates in supporting the organization of many events of the Institute of Economics and International Business; member of the Guitar Club; head of the human resources department of the International Business Club of the Foreign Trade University.
The female student was also honored as an outstanding student of Foreign Trade University in the 2021-2022 school year.

Linh said that although she was very proud, having all A's on her report card did not guarantee that she would be successful in the next steps if she did not continue to make efforts.
“An excellent degree with perfect scores marks the result of four years of hard work and can give you an initial advantage in the job search process, impressing employers. However, work experience and professional skills are the factors that help you develop your career,” Linh said.
At the end of last year, instead of looking for an internship, Linh decided to apply for a full-time job as an official employee with the desire to learn more. Working full-time, she still achieved a 9.5 on her graduation thesis.
Currently, Linh works for a company related to industrial machinery and equipment. She wants to accumulate more practical experience while working before thinking about further studies.
