The delegation led by Professor, Dr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health, had the participation of many officials and doctors from the following hospitals: Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, Bach Mai Hospital, Xanh Pon Hospital, Hoa Binh Provincial General Hospital and doctors from several southern hospitals.
This is an activity within the "Journey of young doctors following Uncle Ho's teachings, volunteering for community health" launched by the Vietnam Young Doctors Association since May 2024 and being implemented nationwide, with the desire to reach out and support more than 1,000,000 people. This is also an activity to welcome the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024-2029.
Within the framework of the program, more than 1,000 local people were examined and tested for free in general internal medicine, gastroenterology, and dermatology. Notably, this was the first time that Muong Chieng commune people had access to a large-scale, highly specialized medical team with a lot of equipment and supplies, and adequate quantities of medicine.

The team of doctors from the National Children's Hospital also examined more than 200 children in the commune and gave meaningful gifts such as teddy bears, school bags, notebooks, milk and many nutritious foods for children.
Through examination, doctors discovered many cases with signs of goiter, alcoholic cirrhosis, fatty liver, kidney stones, kidney stones, ureteral stones, cervical, back, knee degeneration, stomach pain; many cases of sinusitis, otitis media, perforated eardrums... Doctors also discovered 2 children with heart rhythm disorders that required hospitalization for examination, many cases of digestive disorders, pneumonia...
Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee presented many valuable gifts to two medical staff who lost their homes due to storms and floods, four households that suffered heavy damage due to storms and floods; and presented 13 gifts to 13 medical stations in Da Bac district...

Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan assessed that organizing community health screening and care programs not only helps health workers and people quickly stabilize and overcome the consequences of storms and floods, but also creates conditions for people, especially those in difficult circumstances, to access quality health services. This is a meaningful activity, contributing to improving the quality of life for people in Hoa Binh province in particular and the whole country in general, while spreading the spirit of mutual love and solidarity in the community.
Previously, Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan also joined the Health and Life Newspaper, the Vietnam Medical Trade Union and accompanying units to Bac Giang, Lang Son and Tuyen Quang to present gifts including cash, medicine and essential necessities to people and medical staff affected by natural disasters such as storms and floods.
