Tra Vinh University has officially entered the play-off match against Can Tho University to compete for the only ticket to the final round of the 2nd Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament - 2024 THACO Cup. This important match will take place at Can Tho Stadium tomorrow afternoon, March 9.

In this year's qualifying round, despite playing away, Tra Vinh University players still received enthusiastic cheers from fans who traveled from Tra Vinh to Can Tho to support the team. Tra Vinh University fans even impressed with their yellow uniforms - the traditional color of Tra Vinh University. Although the number was not large, with their enthusiastic cheering spirit, Tra Vinh University fans highlighted a corner of Stand A of Can Tho Stadium.

Many Tra Vinh University fans, despite motion sickness, still traveled more than 100 km to Can Tho Stadium to cheer for their team.

Mr. Thach Thanh Tam, Student Affairs Department of Tra Vinh University, said that the school has created conditions for students who are passionate about sports to cheer for the team. Information about the match was widely shared to all courses and classes, then the number of registrations was compiled to make a specific list. The means of transport was mobilized by the school, which could accommodate a large number. However, due to overlapping school schedules, the number of fans coming to watch the first two matches was somewhat modest.

More than 100 km from Can Tho Stadium, Tra Vinh University is considered the farthest of the 6 teams in the Southwest region. The travel time is more than 2 hours, so the fans are very careful. "The distance from the school to the competition venue is not very beautiful, there are many bumpy sections. Many people cannot stand it because of motion sickness. The advantage is that the whole group is hardworking, the driver drives carefully and enthusiastically, so we do not miss a single moment of the match," said Mr. Tam.

Student Pham Thi Nhu Y (18 years old, Tra Vinh University) said, "We were carsick all the way here. But the team's victory helped everyone cheer up and forget all their fatigue. Being in the stands is an interesting experience. Because the atmosphere is always exciting and bustling. I will save my energy to cheer even harder for the next match," Nhu Y said.

"The final match is expected to have a lot of fans following because it is the weekend, students do not have to attend classes. The school has been proactive in terms of transportation, as many people register, they will be arranged to take them. We have a lot of faith in this year's players to make a difference," said Mr. Thach Thanh Tam.
