This special egg tree is on display on Provincial Road 379 (Van Giang, Hung Yen). This place is considered the capital of Tet ornamental plants in the North with a series of large, beautiful and expensive masterpieces.

The owner of the egg tree, Mr. Nguyen Tung, said that this is a unique egg tree, and it is very difficult to find a second tree of similar size.

“From the first time I saw this eggplant tree about 7 years ago, I was immediately attracted by its crooked branches and majestic posture, so I tried every way to own it,” said Mr. Tung.

Based on his own experience, Mr. Tung estimates that this egg tree is over 60 years old. In addition to having a rough and thorny trunk, the tree’s only large branch (also called a hand) is almost as large as the trunk.

The tree branches spread out horizontally, curving like a dragon flying in the sky. Because the branches are long and have many fruits, Mr. Tung had to make a large steel frame, firmly attached to the pot to support the branches firmly.

All year round, the egg tree always has flowers, fruits, and new shoots, symbolizing abundance, fullness, and fulfillment all year round. “Because of this characteristic, the egg tree is also called the four-season egg tree.”

Flowers, fruits, and young shoots appear at the same time on the egg tree every season, making it special.

It is known that this is not the first time the eggplant tree has appeared in public. Mr. Tung has brought the tree to several exhibitions, and many "sky-high" prices have been offered by tree enthusiasts, but Mr. Tung has not sold it. "Someone offered the highest price of 800 million VND, but I did not sell it," said Mr. Tung.

“I especially like natural bonsai trees, untouched by human hands. The eggplant tree is one of those trees. Its trunk and branches were forged by nature, not by human hands. There are only small branches, after owning the tree, I reshaped them to create the desired foliage. This makes the tree even more precious in my heart,” said Mr. Tung.
