On the morning of February 6, Saigon Riverside Park, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh New Energy Club (NEH club) held the inauguration, operation and handover ceremony of the Solar Sunflower Tree to Thu Duc City People's Committee.

The "Sunflower Solar Power" project has an installed capacity of 2kWp, which will generate an average of 2.9 MWh of electricity per year. In addition to the decorative element, the solar power system will provide electricity for household electrical appliances in the park during the day, watering pumps, helping to save electricity costs, protect the environment and create a highlight for the park.

NEH club representative said: When clean energy is widely used, it will help raise public awareness of the importance of environmental protection. People will better understand the impact of environmental pollution on their lives and health. From there, they will be more conscious of using clean energy and protecting the environment.

Saigon River Park, with an area of ​​about 5,000 - 6,000m2 of sunflower garden, semi-flooded space along the Saigon River to serve people to come and have fun, especially during holidays.

Ho Chi Minh New Energy Club is a non-profit organization established in 2023 by the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (HANE). The goal of the Club is to promote the development of new and sustainable energy in this City.
