On the evening of April 20, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, the leader of Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 (Traffic Police Department, Hanoi Police) said that the unit had just coordinated with functional forces to handle the scene of a tree falling on a car on Quan Su Street (Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi).

Before that, at around 8:00 p.m., a thunderstorm with strong winds caused a number of trees in Hoan Kiem district to be uprooted.
On Quan Su Street, two luxury cars, an Audi and a Mercedes, were hit by a fallen tree.

"Two cars were damaged but fortunately no one was injured," informed the leader of Traffic Police Team No. 1.
This person said that after receiving the report, the unit sent officers to the scene to direct traffic and limit vehicles from entering the area where the tree fell.
By about 9:30 p.m., the fallen trees had been moved and traffic returned to normal.

According to rainfall data from the Hanoi Drainage Company, heavy rain fell on many districts of Hanoi within 30 minutes, from 8:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The place with the heaviest rainfall was Ha Dong with 31mm, Nam Tu Liem 27mm, Cau Giay 20.7mm.
