Just a few minutes later, 6 fire trucks and many officers and soldiers were dispatched to the scene. Upon receiving the information, Vung Tau City Electricity also dispatched staff to cut off power to the surrounding area.
At this time, 5 fire trucks approached the fire but because the alley was small, they could not enter.
Firefighters used hoses to reach deep inside to put out the fire. Since there was no one inside, they broke down the door and approached the scene.
Another vehicle was dispatched to approach the fire from behind, at alley 172 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia. At this time, the soldiers used a ladder, quickly moved across the roof (neighbor's) behind, then pulled the water hose up and sprayed to extinguish the fire.
The ward police force was also mobilized to protect the scene, temporarily divert traffic and guide vehicles to move in other directions, not through the area where the fire was occurring.
After only about 15 minutes of arriving at the scene, many police officers returned wearing smoke masks, exhausted after fighting the "fire lady" to save the house. The fire was immediately controlled, fortunately there were no human casualties.
Neighbors said that at the time of the fire, no one was inside the house, and the homeowner’s family may have gone out to celebrate Tet. Before the fire broke out, people heard a small explosion but could not determine whether it came from the house.
