Thanh Thuy plays explosively
On January 25, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Club faced Bandung BJB Tandamata Club in the 6th and final match of the first leg of the Indonesian women's volleyball tournament (Proliga).
Tran Thi Thanh Thuy has played outstandingly for Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk but has not been able to help the team gain the upper hand in the Proliga.

This was a match in which former captain of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team Tran Thi Thanh Thuy played impressively. Not only did she attack effectively, Thanh Thuy also supported the defense well with successful blocks. However, on the day, her teammates played poorly, many times she missed the first pass, the second setter did not initiate the attack well, and "swallow" Thanh Thuy alone could not bring "spring" to the Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Club.
Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates from Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Club won 25/22 in the first game, then let their opponents win the remaining 3 games in a row with scores of 22/25, 16/25, 13/25 respectively. Although she was the top scorer for Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Club with 17 points, Thanh Thuy sadly left the field after losing 1-3 to her opponent. This loss put Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Club, which Thanh Thuy plays for, at risk of not making it into the top 4 to compete in the semi-finals.

Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Club needs to make timely additions to its squad and overcome its weaknesses if it wants to improve its performance in the second leg of the Proliga. According to the schedule for the second leg, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk Club will face Jakarta Popsivo Polwan Club (January 26), Jakarta Pertamina Enduro Club (February 8), Jakarta Elektrik PLN Club (February 9), Bandung BJB Tandamata Club (February 14), Jakarta Livin Mandiri Club (February 15) and Yogya Falcons Club (February 21).
