On the morning of December 18, at Chua Ve Port Branch, Hai Phong Port officially welcomed the 100,000th TEU of GLS shipping line in 2024. The event has special significance, marking an important milestone in the journey of cooperation and development between Hai Phong Port and GLS shipping line.

Congratulating and thanking GLS for always trusting and choosing Hai Phong Port as a strategic destination in its development journey, Mr. Ngo Trung Hieu, Deputy General Director of Hai Phong Port, said that 2024 is the second year that GLS has achieved the milestone of 100,000 TEUs through Hai Phong Port. “This not only affirms GLS's position and reputation in the shipping market, but also affirms Hai Phong Port's operational capacity, professionalism and commitment to providing high-quality services to partners,” Mr. Hieu emphasized.

At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Thien, founder of Global Logistics and Services Co., Ltd. (GLS) and GLS Shipping Company (GLSS) congratulated the good cooperation relationship between the two units over the past years. Mr. Thien thanked the sense of responsibility and the continuous efforts of all officers and employees of Chua Ve Port and Tan Vu Port for their important contributions to ensuring smooth operations. The founder of GLS Shipping Company expressed his expectation that in 2025, the cargo output of GLS at Hai Phong Port will grow strongly, reaching 200,000 TEUs. Thereby, continuing to affirm the effective cooperation of the two enterprises on the journey of companionship and development. The first ship of GLS docked at Chua Ve Port (Hai Phong Port) in April 2012. The event marked the beginning of a promising cooperative relationship. Since then, GLS has been closely associated with Hai Phong Port, contributing significantly to the development of both sides.
