Danang Port Board of Directors opens party
The event was honored to welcome Mr. JERRY HO - General Director of Wanhai Lines Vietnam, an Investor and major shareholder of Da Nang Port and more than 170 distinguished guests who are leaders of Shipping Lines, Shipping Line Agents, Logistics Enterprises and Import-Export Enterprises, and Leaders of relevant state management agencies such as Port Authority, Border Guard, Customs, Pilots, etc. Leaders of Vietnam National Shipping Lines attending this important event included members of the Board of Directors: Mr. Do Tien Duc and Mr. Do Hung Duong, Mr. Le Quang Trung and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh - Deputy General Directors. On behalf of Da Nang Port, there were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chung - Member of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company; Mr. Tran Le Tuan - Party Secretary, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of Da Nang Port, along with members of the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board, Executive Board, Party Committee, Trade Union, Heads and Deputy Heads of units under Da Nang Port and Directors of Member Companies.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Danang Port Joint Stock Company delivered the opening speech.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company expressed his honor and deep gratitude to the relevant agencies, partners and customers who have contributed greatly to the success of Da Nang Port. 2024 is a challenging year but also has many proud achievements for Da Nang Port. Da Nang Port has put into operation the Back Beach Project of Bridge 4.5 with a total area of 3.7 hectares and completed the investment in many modern exploitation equipment at Tien Sa Port Enterprise; Da Nang Port is also implementing the investment in the Hoa Vang Logistics Center project and promoting the necessary procedures to soon be entitled to participate in investing in the Lien Chieu Port Project in the coming time. The application of information technology at Da Nang Port in the past year has also brought about many impressive achievements, elevating Da Nang Port to become a modern logistics center. The automated management system and advanced technology solutions have helped optimize the operating process, shorten the time for handling goods, improve work efficiency and minimize errors. In particular, the project "Automatic vehicle tracking system in the gantry crane - eCPS" has successfully surpassed 200 competing projects and products and has been honored to be in the top 20 typical projects in the period of 2022-2024, commended and awarded by the Central Business Bloc Youth Union.
Mr. Chung announced , “In 2024, despite facing many difficulties from market fluctuations and other objective factors, thanks to appropriate solutions in terms of management, operation and production, especially thanks to the continuous support from customers and partners, we have achieved impressive results. Total output is expected to reach 13.97 million tons, up 14.4% over the same period, of which container goods will reach 755,000 Teus, up 11.8% over the same period in 2023. Revenue is expected to reach VND 1,480 billion, up 14.75% over the same period and pre-tax profit will reach VND 380 billion, up 8.7% over 2023”. In addition to good results in terms of production and business, Da Nang Port has also achieved impressive achievements in other fields. Da Nang Port continues to receive the title of Outstanding Enterprise for Employees for 7 consecutive years; Top 500 most profitable enterprises in Vietnam for 8 consecutive years; continues to be in the top 1,000 largest tax-paying enterprises in Vietnam, Top 7 largest tax-paying enterprises in Da Nang city; Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises and Top 10 Prestigious Logistics Companies in 2024 announced by Vietnam Report. 
Mr. Chung pledged, “ Da Nang Port will continue to make continuous efforts to develop sustainably and bring the best services to customers. Continue to promote investment in infrastructure, apply advanced technology to optimize the exploitation process, and expand cooperation with strategic partners to increase the ability to receive goods and increasingly enhance the competitive position of Da Nang Port in the Vietnamese maritime industry.” 
Also in the series of customer appreciation activities in 2024, previously on December 14, 2024, Da Nang Port organized the friendly sports tournament " Danang Port Friendship Golf Tournament 2024 " to exchange, learn, and strengthen the good cooperative relationship with partners and customers.
