In May 2020, the Ministry of Construction established a working group to "Inspecte student housing projects invested in and built with government bond capital in the period 2009 - 2015", including these two projects. By September 2021, the Ministry of Construction sent an official dispatch to the Prime Minister requesting the recovery of government bond capital invested in these two dormitories.
In November 2021, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued a document proposing to convert the function of the concentrated dormitory area in the west of the city and the expanded concentrated dormitory area in the west of the city into housing for workers, and was approved by the Prime Minister.
The Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil and Industrial Works of Da Nang City (the unit managing the two dormitories) said that it is developing a project to convert the dormitory area into workers' housing. "When completed, the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil and Industrial Works of Da Nang City will assign the Da Nang Housing Management and Exploitation Center to carry out the next steps," the Management Board representative added.
