Cambodian police arrested a 37-year-old Vietnamese man on charges of murdering his wife at their home in Phnom Penh after a two-day manhunt.
Cambodian police announced the arrest of an unnamed Vietnamese suspect on the morning of August 18th in O Andong 1 village, Chbar Ampov district, Phnom Penh. The suspect was subsequently transferred to the Meanchey district police station for further processing.
Authorities determined that at approximately 11 PM on August 16th, the man fatally stabbed his wife at their home in Prek Ta Kong 3 village, Chak Angre Ley commune, Meanchey district, Phnom Penh. After committing the crime, he fled with his 6-year-old son.

The wife was found motionless, lying in a pool of blood. Neighbors took her to a clinic in the district for emergency treatment, but she did not survive. Authorities have not released information about the victim's nationality, but local media reported that she was also Vietnamese.
The man's motive for murdering his wife has not been disclosed.
