TPO - On the weekend, some central streets of Ho Chi Minh City will be closed to traffic and restricted during certain time frames to accommodate the Marathon.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has announced traffic adjustments on some routes in the city center to serve the VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight 2024.

Accordingly, in order to ensure traffic order and safety for the above event, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport announced that from 11pm on March 2 (Saturday) to 3:30am on March 3 (Sunday), all vehicles will be prohibited from traveling on Truong Dinh Street (from Nguyen Du Street to Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, District 1).

Alternative traffic route: Truong Dinh Street → Nguyen Du Street → Cach Mang Thang Tam Street → Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street → Truong Dinh Street.

In addition, from 1:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on March 3 (Sunday), all 2-wheeled vehicles are prohibited from traveling from Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street to Saigon River Tunnel.

Alternative traffic route: Vo Van Kiet Street → Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street → Chau Van Liem Street → Hong Bang Street → An Duong Vuong Street → Nguyen Van Cu Street → Tran Hung Dao Street.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport also announced restrictions on vehicles traveling along the Marathon's running routes.

Specifically, the Kun Marathon route, running time from 6am on March 2. Running route: Nguyen Binh Khiem Street → Le Duan Street → Nguyen Binh Khiem Street.

5 km distance : Departure time from 0:30 on March 3.

Running route: Truong Dinh street → Nguyen Thi Minh Khai → Nam Ky Khoi Nghia → Le Duan → Cong Xa Paris → Dong Khoi → Ton Duc Thang → Vo Van Kiet → Khanh Hoi bridge underpass → Ton Duc Thang → Le Duan → finish line in front of the Zoo and Botanical Garden gate.

“Drivers traveling through the Marathon area must reduce speed and comply with the instructions of traffic control forces, traffic police or traffic signal systems on the road.
