Notable new admission methods of Hue University

On February 22, Dr. Le Van Tuong Lan, acting Head of the Department of Training and Student Affairs - Hue University, specifically informed about the unit's regular enrollment methods in 2024.

The Director of Hue University discussed some contents related to enrollment and training issues of the unit at a press conference in early 2024.

According to Mr. Lan, this year, some schools and faculties under Hue University have adjusted and supplemented their admission methods. The new point is that for the first time, Hue University has recognized the use of the results of the competency assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Specifically, Hue University will consider admission using the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam applicable to universities such as: Foreign Languages, Economics, Science, Agriculture and Forestry, Tourism; faculties of engineering and technology, and international.

In addition, Hue University also considers admission using the results of the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University of Education and Ho Chi Minh City University of Education for Hue University of Education.

"Previously, Hue candidates had to go to Da Nang City to take the exam, but now Hue University has coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City National University to organize the capacity assessment exam at Hue University. This is also one of the three main admission methods this year of Hue University," said Mr. Lan.

According to Mr. Lan, this year's enrollment target of Hue University has not changed much, with about 15,000 students for all schools and faculties.

Among the 5 admission methods still maintained and 1 new method, Hue University focuses on 2 main admission methods: admission using high school academic results (report card scores) and using the results of the high school graduation exam.

In particular, the medical, dental, and pharmaceutical majors of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy - Hue University will use high school graduation exam scores combined with international English certificates for admission.

The remaining admission methods of Hue University are using academic transcripts or high school graduation exam scores combined with aptitude test scores; direct admission and priority admission according to admission regulations; admission according to the separate methods of training units in Hue University.
