HFF will restore the 15th Ho Chi Minh City Futsal Open Tournament
The 2023 Ho Chi Minh City Futsal Open Tournament is professionally sponsored by the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF) with the support of Thai Son Nam Company Limited, and the participation of domestic and international football teams.
HFF General Secretary Tran Dinh Huan said that Ho Chi Minh City futsal is a pioneer and leader in developing futsal in Vietnam. In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City Futsal Open - LS Cup (after 2 years of postponement due to the Covid-19 pandemic) organized by HFF is a major event of Ho Chi Minh City futsal, a traditional tournament, this year with the return of international teams.
"To maintain this playground, HFF would like to thank the sponsors who have accompanied the tournament for the past 15 years, in addition to general support for the development of Ho Chi Minh City football. The 2023 Ho Chi Minh City Futsal Open Tournament - the 15th LS Cup brings together 8 participating clubs, including 5 strong domestic teams, and 3 international guest teams who are famous futsal teams in Southeast Asia.
This is a tournament with high professional quality to help futsal teams in Vietnam have the opportunity to compete, and at the same time serve the need to watch top futsal matches for fans in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and Vietnam in general," said Mr. Tran Dinh Huan.

The 2023 Ho Chi Minh City Futsal Open Tournament will take place from December 23 to 29 at Lanh Binh Thang Stadium (District 11). According to the draw results, the four teams Sahako FC, Cao Bang, Thai Son Bac and Thammasat Statilion (top 5 in the 2023 Thai National Futsal Championship) are in Group A.
Meanwhile, the defending champion of the 2023 National Futsal Championship and National Cup, Thai Son Nam TP.HCM, is in Group B with the runner-up of the 2023 Thai National Futsal Championship, Blackpearl Utd, the third-placed team of the 2023 Malaysian Futsal Championship, Selangor Mac, and Khanh Hoa Club.
The participation of international teams promises to bring futsal parties to the audience. As for foreign teams, they feel honored to be invited to participate in the tournament with the tradition of Ho Chi Minh City futsal.
Coach Natthapon Suttiroj of Thammasat Stallion Club said: "Thank you HFF for inviting us here. This is a very good playground with good experiences, with matches expected to be played at a high speed, because the participating teams are very strong and are among the top teams in Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia.

Because we have just finished the 2023 Thai National Futsal Championship, we only have one week to prepare for this tournament. My squad is a combination of young players and many experienced names. The club will fight with all its might, aiming for the semi-finals first and the highest goal is the championship."
The teams will compete in turn with opponents in their group to calculate ranking points, select the top 2 teams in each group to play in the semi-finals, third place match and final of the Ho Chi Minh City Futsal Open.
Regarding the prize structure, in addition to the championship trophy and gold medal, the winning club will receive a prize of 5,000 USD. The prizes for the runner-up, third-place and style winners will be 3,000 USD, 1,000 USD and 500 USD respectively. To increase the competitiveness of the tournament, the Organizing Committee also awarded additional prizes, including the best player, best goalkeeper and top scorer.
On December 23, the tournament will kick off the first round of matches in two groups. Specifically: Thammasat Stalion vs. Thai Son Bac (11am), Sahako vs. Cao Bang (1pm), Sanvinest vs. Selangor Mac (3pm) and Thai Son Nam TP.HCM vs. Blackpearl (5:15pm). The opening ceremony will take place at 5pm on December 23.
