(Fatherland) - On the morning of November 18, at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, the Organizing Committee of the 7th Then Singing and Tinh Instrument Festival of the Tay, Nung, and Thai ethnic groups held a contest to display, prepare, and introduce traditional culinary culture.
The activity aims to honor, preserve and promote the culinary cultural values of the Tay, Nung, Thai ethnic groups and famous local folk cuisines; continue to create and aim for new and attractive tourism products organized to serve domestic and international tourists and the public.

Accordingly, at the exhibition space introducing and promoting traditional cultural and culinary products of the 14 delegations participating in the Festival, the delegations sent members to take turns introducing and explaining the processing process, meaning and unique features of each dish to the members of the Jury.
According to the Organizing Committee, the delegations brought diverse and rich dishes; imbued with the unique flavors of the Tay, Nung, and Thai ethnic groups in each locality.

Traditional meals of ethnic groups in Dien Bien province
From typical ingredients such as upland rice, hill chicken, wild vegetables, bamboo shoots, pork, etc., through the skillful hands of artisans, traditional meals have been completed and displayed.
In the Festival's culinary exhibition booths, the trays of food filled with traditional dishes of the Tay, Nung, and Thai people such as roast duck, roast pork, five-color sticky rice, etc. attract tourists.

Many visitors to the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism expressed surprise and delight when they experienced enjoying the specialties of the highland ethnic groups and seeing the colorful feasts.

According to information from the Organizing Committee, the prize structure of the competition includes 5 A prizes, 5 B prizes and 4 C prizes.
The results of this competition will be compiled by the Evaluation Council and sent to the Organizing Committee of the Festival to award prizes at the Closing Ceremony taking place on the afternoon of November 18./.
