Jenni, 27, and James Casper, 26, are from Yorkshire, England. They already had two daughters. Initially, when Jenni became pregnant, the couple were expecting twins, according to the Daily Mail .
Jenni Casper gave birth to triplets, and all three look exactly alike.
It wasn't until the 12th week of her pregnancy that Jenni went for an ultrasound and was told she was pregnant with triplets. "Jenni called me immediately after being told. She told me everything over the phone," James said.
Initially, James didn't believe his wife, thinking she was joking. To convince him, Jenni sent him an ultrasound image. "She sent me a picture of all three babies huddled together in her belly, and I was speechless," James recounted.
James shared that his feelings at the time were a mix of worry and joy, to the point of tears. Taking care of three children at once would be no easy task.
All three babies were born on March 31st. Doctors said the premature babies, named Harper-Gwen, Marvella, and Evalynn, were born weighing 1.3 kg, 1.4 kg, and 1.35 kg respectively.
Because they were so young, the babies were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at York Hospital in Yorkshire. After a month, their health stabilized and they were discharged. Thus, Jenni and James now have five daughters, three of whom are literally identical, according to the Daily Mail .
Because all three looked so alike, the couple tried to find ways to tell them apart. "For the first two days after returning from the hospital, we kept the name tags on their arms. Because if we took them off, Jenni and I could turn away and someone might swap their positions, and it would be very difficult to tell them apart," James recounted. After that, they used three different cribs to avoid confusing the babies.
