Naval Region 3 Command: Visiting and wishing a Happy New Year to the people and soldiers of Con Co and Ly Son island districts

On January 22, in Da Nang City, the Naval Region 3 Command organized a meeting with a delegation of localities, units, and press agencies to visit and extend New Year greetings to the soldiers and people of Con Co island district (Quang Tri) and Ly Son (Quang Ngai) from January 21-25. Attending were representatives of the Naval Region 3 Command, localities, agencies, units, enterprises, and 52 reporters from 30 central, military, and local press agencies. Ninh Thuan Newspaper sent reporters to join the delegation.

Naval Region 3 is tasked with managing and protecting the seas and islands of 7 central provinces, from Deo Ngang (Quang Binh) to Cu Lao Xanh (Binh Dinh) and is ready to support other seas when ordered. Over the years, Naval Region 3 has grown steadily, always completing its assigned tasks excellently.

Political Commissar of Naval Region 3 Command, Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien said: Along with the attention of the Party and State, Naval Region 3 always receives the attention, support and facilitation of local authorities, units and enterprises nationwide. With the motto "mainland towards distant islands", "for the homeland's sea and islands", the visit and New Year greetings on the island districts of Con Co and Ly Son will contribute to encouraging officers, soldiers and people on the islands to work, live and celebrate the traditional New Year joyfully, warmly and happily.

Naval Region 3 Command receives goods and Tet gifts transported to the island.

On this occasion, the Naval Region 3 Command will transfer more than 250 gifts, with a total value of more than 750 million VND to officers, soldiers, and forces on duty on the islands. At the same time, receive, transport, and coordinate the delivery of gifts from localities, agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals, including cash and gifts with a total value of more than 1.86 billion VND to officers, soldiers of Naval Region 3 and the military and people on Con Co and Ly Son island districts.

On this occasion, the delegation offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh, visited the Traditional House of Region 3; presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, disadvantaged people and units; and visited the ship of Brigade 172, Naval Region 3.

On the same afternoon, Ship KN-390 carried the working group away from the port to carry out the task of maneuvering and patrolling the sea area from Da Nang - Con Co, Ly Son.
