This is Ms. Penny Wong's second visit to Vietnam as Australian Foreign Minister. Ms. Penny Wong visited Vietnam for the first time in June 2022. During this visit, the Australian Foreign Minister enjoyed Vietnamese chicken pho.

In the cool autumn morning weather of Hanoi, the Australian Foreign Minister and his colleagues enjoyed hot cups of egg coffee. The sweet and fatty egg foam on top combined with the aromatic coffee at the bottom of the cup blended together to bring users an unforgettable and extremely delicate taste experience.
Egg coffee is another vivid example showing that cuisine is truly a special "ambassador" to promote the image of Vietnam to the world. At the US-North Korea Summit held in Hanoi in 2019, egg coffee was chosen to serve international and domestic reporters.
2023 is an important milestone in the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Australia as the two countries celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations.
