A few days ago, singer Hong Nhung said that she had just finished her first round of breast cancer treatment and was currently receiving post-operative care and monitoring at a hospital in Singapore.

Accordingly, her mental and physical health have stabilized. Initially, when she discovered the disease, she was shocked and wanted to keep it a secret, but after the surgery, she changed her mind.
"I want to share this image to motivate all women who are fighting breast cancer. I want to send them sympathy, share the hope that good things will come. We will be strong to overcome and win this disease," Hong Nhung shared.
The singer appeared strong and optimistic. She hopes the audience will face this matter normally, not too negatively.
Hong Nhung discovered cancer at the end of 2024 while performing a live concert in which Hong Nhung sang about Hanoi . At that time, she was taking medication and trying to maintain her work so as not to affect the project and her colleagues.
In a conversation with Dan Tri reporters at the end of October 2024, Hong Nhung said that over a year ago, she moved from France to Vietnam to live. Her two children, Tom and Tep, also moved to Ho Chi Minh City to study at an international school.
Returning to Vietnam, she was closer to her father, but when she invited him to live with her, he did not agree.
"Many times I invited him but he refused to come live with me and my mother. He only wanted to live in the same building but not in the same house, so I asked someone to come sleep with him every night and support him, because I was afraid something would happen at night," she recounted.
Hong Nhung's father is translator Le Van Vien, born in 1940, who is very passionate about literature. At the age of 80, he translated the short story collection The Mandarins , then published the 1,000-page novel The Adventurers .
Hong Nhung's parents separated when she was only 2 years old, and her father adopted her. Despite the broken family, the diva still received much love and dedicated, strict guidance from her father.
"Before, my father assigned me the task of going to the market, cooking, washing clothes, cleaning the house before I could go sing. Sometimes, I was still beaten for skipping performances or coming home half an hour late," she confided.
That is why Hong Nhung has so much love for her father. She even composed Vietnamese lyrics for the song Papa to dedicate to her father.

Few people know that, because of his friendship with translator Le Van Vien, musician Trinh Cong Son not only sponsored singer Hong Nhung when she first started her career in Ho Chi Minh City, but also wrote 3 songs for the female singer.
Including: Bong Bong oi in 1993, Bong khong la Bong in 1995 and Thuo Bong la nguoi in 1998.
In 2023, Hong Nhung participated in Chi Dep Dap Gio , her father was constantly hospitalized due to old age, weak health, and heart and lung diseases. Currently, her father's health is stable. He has a maid to take care of him and clean the house.
