Accordingly, if the general mobilization order is announced, peaceful life in Ukraine will end. The intensity of the war is changing and Ukraine also needs to change to adapt.
“It is quite unfair that while soldiers are in the line of fire at the front, others live a quiet life in the rear. It is clear that this is coming to an end,” said Dmitry Lazutkin.
On May 9, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law extending the country’s general mobilization and martial law for 90 days. At the same time, Ukrainian sources said that 11,000 criminal defendants in Ukraine will be mobilized to the front lines. All those convicted can exchange their detention time for fighting on the front lines.
Also according to Strana.ua, staff of the Ukrainian military recruitment center along with the authorities brought the summons to veteran Oleg Simoroz, who lost both legs.
“To be exempted from military service, I had to go through a series of complicated procedures. Despite the fact that I was wounded in combat, they still came to me every six months and repeated the procedure of stamping exemption on my military ID card,” said Oleg Simoroz.
There have been many cases of Ukrainian civil servants being taken away by the Ukrainian military while on duty. There was a case of a bus driver being drafted while driving, or a citizen of the Sunny region who was declared completely healthy while undergoing a medical examination and was drafted into the army in the Kharkov region.
Regarding the war situation in Kharkov, from May 10, Ukraine began evacuating people from the war zone. A total of 970 people were evacuated from Tsirkunovskaya, Lipetsk and Volchansk.
According to information from the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Northern Task Force has taken full control of five settlements in Kharkov: Borisovka, Ogurtsovo, Pletenevka, Pylnaya and Strelechya.
Russian offensive units continue to expand their control zone north of Vovchansk and Lyptsi, with about 10 Ukrainian villages falling in the past 48 hours, covering an area of more than 100 square kilometers.
The Ukrainian army is deploying reserve forces to Kharkiv province. However, the process is quite difficult as all roads and bridges have been destroyed by Russian fire. Direct roads to Volchansk and Liptsi are blocked.

Rybar channel confirms that in the Slobozhansky direction, the Russian army continues to rapidly advance south, gaining control over the settlements of Hlyboke and Tykhe. Fighting is ongoing in the northern suburbs of Volchansk, as well as in Izbytske and Staritsa.
The best Russian offensive has advanced about 5km into Ukraine along a 50km strip along the border northeast of Kharkov. Meanwhile, other offensives continue to attack.
In the first attack, Strilcha, Pylna and Borysivka were captured. Clashes with Kiev forces continued around Krasne and in the northern suburb of Hlyboke.
Second, the Russian army advanced to Zelene and is fighting fiercely there.
Third, Russian soldiers have crossed the border in the direction of Starytsia.
The fourth column successfully took control of Ohirtseve and Pletenivka.
The assault on Volchansk, the largest settlement in the Kharkiv border region, is being carried out from three directions. From the northwest, the Russian task force is advancing towards Hatyshche. From the north, the Russian thrust is aimed at the airport and the meat processing plant. From the east, Russian troops have seized the heights overlooking the Vovcha valley and are advancing towards Tykhe. The threat to Volchansk will continue to increase over the next few days.
