The latest point of this circular is that the State management agency does not regulate the price range (ceiling price and floor price) of airline tickets as currently, instead only regulating the ceiling price.

Accordingly, domestic airfares are classified according to the distance of the flight group. Specifically, the flight group with a distance of less than 500km serving socio-economic development (flights to remote areas, border islands and only operated by one airline) has a ceiling price of 1.6 million VND/one-way ticket.

Other flight groups under 500km have a ceiling price of 1.7 million VND/one-way ticket.

Flights from 500km to under 850km have a ceiling price of 2,250 million VND/ticket/way;

For flight groups from 850 to 1,000km, the ceiling price is 2,890 million VND/ticket/way;

Group from 1,000km to under 1,280km has price of 3.4 million VND/ticket/way;

For groups of 1,280km or more, the ceiling price is 4 million VND/ticket/way.

The maximum service price specified includes all costs that passengers must pay for an air ticket, excluding the following fees: Value added tax; fees collected on behalf of enterprises providing passenger terminal services and security services, including prices for passenger services at the airport; prices for passenger and baggage security; additional service fees.

For children from 2 to under 12 years old, some services are only charged at 50% of the prescribed price.

Regarding the prices of basic essential services at airports such as pho, vermicelli, bread, etc., the Ministry of Transport stipulates that businesses decide on their own service costs, but not exceeding 15% of the maximum prescribed price.
