Ministry of Education and Training announces minimum scores for health and teacher training majors

This afternoon, July 19, the Ministry of Education and Training has made an official decision on the threshold to ensure input quality, also known as the floor score, for the health and teacher training (pedagogy) sectors.

Comparing the B00 combination score spectrum of the past 3 years shows that the source of admission to block B this year is similar to last year.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training decided the floor score for specific health majors as follows:

For the group of health sectors with practice certificates, the quality assurance threshold for the medical and dental sectors is 22.5 points; for the pharmaceutical and traditional medicine sectors is 21 points; for the health sectors including nursing, preventive medicine, midwifery, medical testing techniques, medical imaging techniques, rehabilitation techniques, and dental prosthetic techniques is 19 points.

For teacher training majors, the minimum score for university level is 19 points. For physical education, sports training, music pedagogy, and fine arts pedagogy, the minimum score is 18 points for the combination of 3 cultural subjects, other combination of subjects are implemented according to current admission regulations.

The minimum score for admission to the college-level preschool education program is 17 points for the combination of 3 cultural subjects. Other combination of admissions are implemented according to current admission regulations.

The above floor scores are the 2024 high school graduation exam scores for candidates in region 3 with the minimum score (without coefficient) of all combinations of 3 exams/subjects.

As Thanh Nien Newspaper analyzed, the B00 combination score distribution this year is basically similar to 2023, much higher than 2022. Therefore, according to Thanh Nien Newspaper's forecast, the floor score for the health sector this year will at least remain at the same level as last year, which is 19 points, 21 points and 22.5 points.
