Speaking at the program, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu assessed that the Vietnam-Japan relationship has gone through 50 years of continuous growth and is increasingly sustainable, reaping many outstanding achievements on the basis of high political trust, sincere feelings, sharing many common interests, effective and substantive cooperation in all fields, especially economic cooperation.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that this is an important occasion for localities and investors of the two countries to evaluate and promote the achievements of cooperation, thereby continuing to promote economic diplomacy, enhance common understanding between the people of the two countries and consolidate the extensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in many fields between Japan and Vietnam.
At the same time, he highly appreciated the achievements between Binh Duong province and Japanese localities, including Yamaguchi province; emphasized that the Binh Duong-Yamaguchi cooperative relationship is a typical model of success in local cooperation between the two countries; affirmed that Binh Duong has been and is one of the leading attractive destinations for Japanese investors; welcomed the province's proactive and active organization of many events, including the "Meeting Japan" program, contributing to deepening the cooperative relationship between the two countries on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
The Deputy Minister expressed his hope that the parties would continue to coordinate, exploit and realize cooperation potentials through specific, practical projects that bring benefits, creating more room for new cooperation and development; affirming that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is committed to continuing to accompany and support localities, including Binh Duong province, to connect and enhance substantive and effective cooperation with Japanese partners.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh expressed his appreciation for the interest of foreign investors in investment opportunities in Binh Duong, including Japanese investors; affirming that Japan is always one of the province's leading partners.
Japanese foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, especially large projects on information technology development, new city construction, smart manufacturing, etc., not only contribute to the development and expansion of mutually advantageous markets, but also help transfer technology, train human resources, and actively contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of Binh Duong. Japanese Ambassador Yamada Takio believes that, based on its existing potential and strengths, Binh Duong will be an ideal destination for Japanese investors in the coming time. Mr. Muraoka, Governor of Yamaguchi Prefecture, highly appreciated Vietnam's growth and emphasized his desire to continue to inherit the wishes of the late Prime Minister Abe to further strengthen cooperation with Vietnam; committed to promoting economic cooperation, agricultural exports, and increasing the number of small and medium enterprises of the province investing in Vietnam.
Also at the Program, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province and representatives of the functional agencies granted Investment and Construction Licenses to 3 enterprises with 100% Japanese capital including SKM Vietnam, NITTO DENKO Vietnam, YUWA Vietnam with a total committed investment capital of 168 million USD; witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between Binh Duong province and Yamaguchi province in the field of nursing, between Becamex IDC Corporation and Aeon LLC; and officially announced the new project "SORA Gardens III" in the overall project "Tokyu Binh Duong Garden City".

Many diverse activities were organized on the sidelines of the event. The leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province and representatives of functional agencies granted investment and construction licenses to 3 enterprises with 100% Japanese capital to promote trade cooperation, cultural exchange, and exchange of young generations and teenagers between the two countries such as the Fair connecting supply and demand of goods and the Southeast Industry and Trade Fair, the program "Binh Duong women with Japanese culture", the Vietnam - Japan youth exchange program, etc.
