Vote for "The book most loved by young people" on social networks

NDO - Organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the program "One book for each young person" in 2024 integrates many contents such as: the program to vote for "The book most loved by young people on social networks", the writing contest "The book page changed my life", the video clip contest "History of Vietnam", building "Life-changing bookshelf", "School bookshelf".

The organizing committee awarded scholarships and books to students who overcame difficulties and studied well within the framework of the Forum "Every youth has a book as a friend" in 2024.

To kick off the series of activities, on the afternoon of April 19, in Hanoi , the Forum "One Book for Every Youth" 2024 took place with the participation of many leading experts, representatives of leaders of relevant agencies and units. According to Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Kim Quy, this year, the program "One Book for Every Youth" focuses on the main activities: communication to promote the passion for reading among young people (from May to December 2024) such as seminars, exchanges, dialogues on reading culture; vote for "The book most loved by young people on social networks"... In addition, the Youth Union at all levels will carry out activities to donate books, build bookcases and book libraries nationwide such as: "Life-changing bookcase" (books related to professions and labor in each locality), "School bookcase" (books by age, school culture), "School library" (mobile library, school yard). On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union launched 2 related contests at the same time, including the Writing Contest "The Book Page That Changed My Life" and the Video Clip Contest "History of Vietnam", which will take place from now until October. While the writing contest "Books that changed my life" creates opportunities for contestants to share about good and meaningful books that change their perceptions and lives, the video clip contest "History of Vietnam" focuses on introducing famous Vietnamese historical and cultural figures through books.

Experts discuss at the Forum.

The awarding gala of both competitions will be held on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Union's Traditional Day (October 15, 1956 - October 15, 2024). At the Forum, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and related units awarded 10 scholarships and books to students of the University of Transport who have overcome difficulties to study well.
