Commending typical and advanced members of the Association of War Veterans, farmers and women in the mass movement to protect national security

On the afternoon of June 28, at the Provincial Police Department, the Provincial Steering Committee 138 held a conference to commend typical and advanced veteran members, farmers, and women in the movement to protect national security (ANTQ) for the period of 2019-2024 in Thanh Hoa province. Attending the conference were comrade Dau Thanh Tung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 138; representatives of leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and branches.

In the period of 2019-2024, with the attention of Party committees, authorities, and Steering Committee 138 at all levels, the coordination between the police force and the association at all levels has been directed, so the movement of the whole people to protect national security has truly spread and gone into depth, bringing practical results.

In particular, the movement of the entire people to protect national security and order has been innovated with many contents close to the characteristics of each unit and locality, diverse forms, associated with the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", the campaign "The entire people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", implementing "Democracy regulations at the grassroots level", "Skillful mass mobilization"... therefore, the quality of the movement of the entire people to protect national security and order at the grassroots level has been raised, creating a strong change in awareness, promoting the people's right to mastery, ensuring security and order (SOC) in the new situation.

Through coordination, the activities of the association organizations have been increasingly improved, the content of activities has been diversified, enriched, increasingly in-depth and widespread. The work of discovering, building and replicating core factors, advanced models has been focused on, arousing and promoting the self-awareness, positivity and creativity of members in participating in the work of protecting security and order, especially implementing the models of "Self-prevention, self-management, self-protection, self-reconciliation" which have been recognized and highly appreciated by Party committees and authorities at all levels.

The effectiveness of coordination between the Provincial Police and all levels of the association has created changes and a vibrant competitive atmosphere in the movement of All People Protecting National Security, limiting the causes and conditions for crimes and law violations among members; proactively preventing and handling complicated cases related to national security and order right at the grassroots level, creating a stable and safe environment, promoting the patriotic emulation movement in the locality.

In the period of 2019-2024, the association at all levels provided the authorities with 5,789 valuable sources of information related to security and order; participated in denouncing 354 cases with 648 subjects to help the authorities fight and handle; directly participated in coordinating the fight and handling of 643 cases with 692 subjects; organized and mobilized 52 wanted subjects to surrender. The association at all levels also proactively did a good job of grasping the situation, participating in reconciling 2,970 conflicts within the people; reforming and educating 9,763 people who made mistakes to return to their localities to do honest work, 2,532 bad and slow-moving youths...

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung acknowledged and commended the efforts of the Public Security force and all levels of the Association in coordinating well the implementation of the political task of protecting national security; at the same time commended the typical advanced collectives and individuals in the movement of the whole people protecting national security who participated, contributed their efforts, ideas, and dedication to the cause of protecting national security, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province in recent times.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Public Security force, the Veterans Association, the Farmers' Association, the Provincial Women's Union at all levels, units and localities to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the guidelines, policies and guidelines of the Party, the State, the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee 138 on "promoting the implementation of the movement of the entire people to protect national security in the new situation" and the Coordination Program between the Provincial Public Security with the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and member organizations on "Promoting the movement of the entire people to protect national security in the new situation" for the period 2023-2033.

Strengthen the leadership and direction of Party committees, authorities, Steering Committees, heads of agencies and units at all levels, promote the core role, actively and proactively coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, unions, and armed forces of the province; mobilize the strength of the entire political system and the entire population to participate in the work of ensuring security and order.

Innovate the content and measures of propaganda and mobilization, improve the effectiveness of mass mobilization work in conjunction with the functions and tasks of each agency, unit and locality. Focus on building advanced models and typical examples, mass organizations with the task of ensuring security and order at the grassroots level, taking villages, hamlets, neighborhoods, communes, wards, towns, agencies, enterprises and educational institutions as the core to deploy the work of preventing and combating crimes and social evils. In particular, focus on strategic areas, borders, areas with a concentration of religious people, ethnic minorities, economic zones and industrial zones, contributing to maximizing the combined strength of politics and the participation of the entire population in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level, promptly detecting and resolving conflicts within the people from the beginning in the direction of "self-prevention, self-management, self-protection and self-reconciliation".

Linking the movement of the whole people to protect national security with other campaigns and revolutionary movements of the Party and State such as the emulation "The whole country joins hands to build new countryside", "The whole people unite to build a cultural life", "The whole people participate in preventing, detecting, fighting, denouncing crimes; educating, reforming criminals in families and communities"...

Promote the role of the political system at the grassroots level, build a clean and strong People's Public Security force, Veterans Association, Farmers' Association, Women's Union, closely connected with the people, regularly pay attention to, train, foster, and train to improve political qualifications, professional knowledge, law, work to build a mass movement to protect national security and order, and well implement the regime and policies for core forces at the grassroots level (forces participating in protecting national security and order at the grassroots level; forces protecting agencies, enterprises, and educational institutions).

On this occasion, 3 groups and 9 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 6 groups and 11 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Director of the Provincial Police Department.
