Dan Truong was born in 1976 in Ho Chi Minh City. He entered the profession in 1997 and became famous thanks to the hits Kiep ve sau, Tinh don thuong and Chinese songs with Vietnamese lyrics.
Possessing a scholarly appearance and a bright face, Dan Truong has conquered many audiences. He is considered one of the first singers in Vietnam to buy exclusive rights to songs in order to build a professional image and musical style.
In his singing career of more than 20 years, Dan Truong has won many music awards. He has received the award for Most Favorite Singer of Blue Wave 7 times in a row.
In 2013, he married businesswoman Thuy Tien and settled in the US. In 2017, the couple welcomed their first son. However, after 8 years of living together, in mid-July 2021, the singer and his wife announced their divorce.
