New Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Do Duc Duy

On August 26, at the 8th Extraordinary Session, with the majority of delegates in favor, the National Assembly passed a Resolution approving the appointment of Mr. Do Duc Duy, Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment for the 2021-2026 term with a vote of 426/426 delegates present in favor.

Mr. Do Duc Duy was born in 1970, in Thuy Van commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province. He has a Master's degree in Construction; member of the 13th Party Central Committee; deputy of the 15th National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Yen Bai province.

The new Minister of Natural Resources and Environment was a lecturer at the Faculty of Construction, University of Architecture in February 1996.

More than 6 years later, in April 2002, Mr. Do Duc Duy was assigned to the Department of Organization and Personnel, Ministry of Construction and successively held the positions of specialist and Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel.

He then spent nearly 3 years as Chief of Office before taking up the position of Deputy Minister of Construction in August 2015.

In February 2017, Mr. Do Duc Duy was transferred and assigned to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, then elected as Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province.

From September 2020 to present, Mr. Do Duc Duy has been Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee.
