Mr. Zơrâm Nhoong - Head of Abaanh 2 village said that ABaanh 1 and ABaanh 2 residential areas have an area of over 1,635 hectares, about 30km west of Tay Giang district's administrative center. These two villages have 119 households with 372 people, 99% of the population are Co Tu people. The poverty rate is 41.8%.
Over the past years, people in the two villages have strictly followed the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and enthusiastically participated in and implemented patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, especially building new rural residential areas and model new rural areas.
The Front and its member organizations promptly grasp the thoughts, aspirations and public opinions of the people to propagate, mobilize and provide correct orientation. At the same time, they report to the Party Committee and the government to promptly resolve people's issues, contributing to stabilizing political security, social order and safety, and creating high consensus among the people.
“Village elders and prestigious people should play a role in resolving problems and conflicts among the people; mobilizing land donations for road construction and residential area construction; preserving traditional cultural values; gradually changing thinking and working methods, striving to develop the economy and reduce poverty,” said Mr. Nhoong.
Currently, ABaanh 1 village has met 7/10 criteria for building a model new rural area, ABaanh 2 village has met 7/19 criteria for building a new rural area. In 2024, 2 villages will have 99 families meeting the Cultural Family standard; there will be no students dropping out of school due to difficult circumstances.
Speaking at the festival, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet praised the achievements of the Party Committee, government, organizations and people of ABaanh 1 and ABaanh 2 villages in recent years, especially in preserving and promoting national cultural identity, helping each other reduce poverty and stabilize life. At the same time, he requested the residential area to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity and helping each other, gradually reducing the rate of poor households and improving the quality of life.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested local authorities to promote the role of people in crime prevention, ensuring security and order in residential areas, border security; building a cultural and united life; eliminating backward customs. Continue to review and effectively implement Resolution No. 14 of the Tay Giang District Party Committee on "9 yes, 5 no" in building new rural areas, in which party members, village elders, and prestigious people play the role of pioneers to set an example for the people.
On this occasion, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet presented support for the construction of 2 solidarity houses; presented 20 gifts to disadvantaged households in 2 villages ABaanh 1 and ABaanh 2; presented gifts to villages ABaanh 1 and ABaanh 2, along with 3 border posts and leaders of 4 communes Tr'Hy, A Xan, Ch'Om, and Ga Ry.
Leaders of the Provincial Border Guard Command, Tay Giang District Party Committee, and Tr'Hy Commune presented gifts to disadvantaged households in the two villages. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Giang District awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in front work and building great solidarity in residential areas.
