Also attending were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan and representatives of the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, departments and branches of the province.

Before the heroic martyrs, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and delegates respectfully bowed, observed a moment of silence and offered flowers and incense to pay tribute to generations of fathers and brothers who bravely fought and sacrificed their blood and bones for the cause of national liberation and unification. In recognition of this great merit, the current generation of leaders of Quang Nam province vows to continue to inherit and promote the revolutionary tradition, striving to build the homeland and the country increasingly prosperous.


Truong Son Martyrs Cemetery is located in Vinh Truong Commune, Gio Linh District (Quang Tri Province), built in 1977 and renovated in 1999. This red address has a total area of 140,000m2, including items: grave land, monument area, green area, landscape lake... Currently, the state has gathered 10,333 graves of martyrs in this cemetery.

Truong Son Martyrs’ Cemetery is not only the resting place of soldiers who sacrificed their lives on the old Truong Son trail during the resistance war against the US to save the country; but also a shining symbol of revolutionary heroism, the will to fight for independence and the desire for peace of the Vietnamese people. This is a place for families of martyrs, delegations of the Party and State, and local authorities to visit and perform the work of gratitude.
