Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary directs quick resolution of petitions from meritorious people

Comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee directed the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and related localities to proactively and thoroughly resolve the petitions of meritorious people at the citizen reception session.

On the afternoon of January 14, comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, received citizens periodically in January.

Also attending were leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee and a number of related departments and localities.

At the citizen reception, Ms. Tran Thi Lan in Quang Ninh province requested to transfer the meritorious person file of her biological mother, Ms. Truong Thi Lanh (residing in Nam Sach district) to Quang Ninh (where Ms. Tran Thi Lan resides). The Provincial Party Secretary assigned the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to promptly report the request, and send a document to Quang Ninh province and citizens before January 20, 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tien in Do Xa village, Ung Hoe commune (Ninh Giang) requested financial support to build a house for people with meritorious services according to the Government's decree (the house was damaged and dilapidated after damage caused by storm Yagi).

After listening to the report of the Ninh Giang District People's Committee, Comrade Luu Van Ban, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, explained the provisions of the law on supporting the construction of houses for people with meritorious services to citizens. The Provincial Party Secretary assigned the Ninh Giang District People's Committee to review the origin of the land and have a solution for citizens in February 2025.

The Provincial Party Secretary listened to and discussed with citizens who had opinions and recommendations; at the same time, he requested leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities to report and clarify each content of the incident. He requested the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and relevant localities to proactively and thoroughly resolve the recommendations of those with meritorious services at the meeting.
