Appearing recently in the program Vietnamese Family Home, backstage, singer Thao Trang had a rare time speaking out to refute comments that she was out of date and could not compete with today's young singers.
According to Thao Trang, she has often encountered such comments on social media about herself and even other artists. However, for the female singer, the courage of an artist must be self-aware of where her position is and how the audience feels about her.

She admits that not everyone is lucky enough to have a long artistic career. Some people have to take a different path. It depends on each person's passion and choice.
“Female artists like me will have periods of time when they have to slow down to focus on their family and children. I feel like my musical path is still very long. Luckily, I have a singing voice and can perform many different genres. I will sing until the end of my life,” Thao Trang confided.
The singer expressed her happiness because after 15 years of working in the arts, she still has a certain place in the hearts of the public. Not long ago, she made an impression on the TV show "Masked Singer" with the image of a monitor lizard.
According to Thao Trang, thanks to the song “Mother’s Dream” and the image of the monitor lizard, she has reached new audiences and connected with her long-time fans. That makes the female singer happy because she is loved, accepted, and has a large fan base of many ages.
Thao Trang once caused a "fever" when she returned to music with the image of a monitor lizard in the show "Masked Singer" in 2022.
For her, this is the time to be active again in the arts. Thao Trang affirms that she will always change the colors in her music, depending on the time, inspiration and fateful encounters with music producers.
As a single mother, Thao Trang confided that her son Alex is her strong spiritual support. In the singer's eyes, Alex is an intelligent, understanding boy, observant, curious and especially very emotional.
“Alex loves his grandmother and mother. He says he loves me every day and is always proud of his mother for singing well. My son is my greatest joy,” she confided.
Not revealing too much about her love life, Thao Trang affirms that there is always someone by her side.
Thao Trang is known to the public as a singer pursuing dance, pop, and EDM music. She was in the top 5 of Vietnam Idol 2007. Thanks to her strong voice, unique appearance, and brown skin, the female singer has become a special color in the Vietnamese music industry. In 2016, Thao Trang gave birth to a son in the US and admitted that she was a single mother.
