Social Insurance Region XIX stops printing paper health insurance cards from June 1, 2025

- The Social Insurance (SI) of Region XIX (Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang) has just issued Official Letter 23/BHXH-QLT on stopping printing paper health insurance (HI) cards to send to agencies and units using labor; health insurance examination and treatment facilities; authorized service organizations to collect social insurance and health insurance in Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces.

People use the health insurance card image integrated into the application to seek medical examination and treatment at the Provincial General Hospital.

Accordingly, from June 1, 2025, the Social Insurance of Region XIX will stop printing paper health insurance cards (including cases of requesting re-issuance and exchange of health insurance cards). Health insurance participants will continue to use the previously issued health insurance card or the citizen identification card (CCCD) with chip to present when going for health insurance examination and treatment. In addition, people can use the health insurance card integrated on the VNeID application that has been electronically identified at level 2 or use the image of the health insurance card integrated on the VssID application - Social Insurance number to go for health insurance examination and treatment.

Social Insurance of Region XIX only issues new paper health insurance cards for cases where VNeID and VssID applications cannot be installed and there is no chip-embedded ID card. In cases where there are difficulties or problems in the process of installing VssID, you can contact the nearest Social Insurance agency for instructions and support.
