On the afternoon of January 2, at the Central Maternity Hospital, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan handed over the decision to transfer and appoint Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh - Director of Hanoi Maternity Hospital to the position of Director of the Central Maternity Hospital, under the Ministry of Health.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Dao Hong Lan, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Health, congratulated Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh on being trusted by the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health and the leaders of the Ministry, and on being assigned a new task, and congratulated the Hospital on completing the position of Director.
Minister Dao Hong Lan assessed that the Central Obstetrics Hospital is a leading hospital, the last line in the field of obstetrics, a pioneer in the pioneering fields of in vitro fertilization, laparoscopic surgery... Recently, the Hospital has received attention from the Ministry of Health, and is one of the hospitals that is building a second facility.
The goal is to upgrade the hospital so that it can truly become a final-line hospital, promoting its strengths in science and technology, directing the line... To ensure the development conditions for the hospital, there must be unanimity from top to bottom. With nearly 1,800 staff, workers and civil servants, we must be united to build the hospital...
Assigning tasks to the new Director of the Central Maternity Hospital, Minister Dao Hong Lan suggested that in his new position, comrade Nguyen Duy Anh and the hospital's leadership team need to play a core role in accepting this transformation.
"The hospital must put the task of protecting people's health first and foremost, and for the lives of more than 1,800 doctors, nurses and workers. Therefore, the leadership of the Central Maternity Hospital needs to quickly find out the difficulties and obstacles in the direction and operation, quickly build a united, comradely, and unanimous collective with the entire hospital to solve the problems, remove the difficulties, and gradually consolidate the hospital's operations," said Ms. Lan.

Minister Dao Hong Lan requested the Central Maternity Hospital to review its management system, quality, processes, and resources, and speed up the completion of its second facility in Quoc Oai;
Overcoming the difficulties of lack of medicine, materials... focusing on the intelligence, enthusiasm and qualifications of each officer, civil servant and worker, enhancing the application of information technology, promoting international cooperation, actively implementing new methods, specialized techniques, taking the patient as the center, aiming at patient satisfaction to soon regain the leading position in professional work. From there, helping the obstetrics and gynecology sector of the whole country.
"We believe that with the experience of Professor Nguyen Duy Anh and the hospital's existing facilities, the development of high technology and new techniques at the Central Maternity Hospital will continue to be promoted, affirming its leading position in the industry," Ms. Lan emphasized.
Minister Dao Hong Lan hopes that the Hospital's staff will join hands with the new Director to help the Central Maternity Hospital recover and develop, continuing to promote its strength as a center of solidarity and unity in carrying out the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.
At the ceremony, the new Director of the Central Maternity Hospital Nguyen Duy Anh thanked the Minister of Health, the leaders of the Ministry of Health, and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health for their attention and trust in assigning him a new task. At the same time, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh affirmed that he will continue to make efforts to complete the assigned tasks with the Central Maternity Hospital.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh also expressed his wish that the leaders of the Ministry of Health and the leaders of the affiliated units of the Ministry of Health continue to support the Hospital in all aspects; the collective leadership, staff and workers of the hospital are unanimous and join hands with him in performing the assigned duties and responsibilities.
Previously, after Mr. Tran Danh Cuong - former director of the Central Maternity Hospital stopped working as a manager, on October 1, 2023, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan decided to assign Mr. Dinh Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of Maternal and Child Health (Ministry of Health), to concurrently take charge of, manage and operate the Central Maternity Hospital until the position of Director of the Central Maternity Hospital is completed.
Currently, the leadership of the Central Maternity Hospital consists of 4 comrades, of which Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh is the Director; 3 deputy directors are Mr. Vu Van Du, Mr. Le Dinh Cuong and Mr. Le Hoai Chuong .
