Faced with the complicated developments of the cholera epidemic in Unity State, South Sudan, Vietnam's Level 2 Field Hospital No. 6 has carried out civil-military activities (CIMIC) to provide medical support to local people to prevent the spread of the disease.
This is an activity within the framework of the United Nations peacekeeping mission and is also a meaningful occasion for Level 2 Field Hospital No. 6 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.
Specifically, the delegation of Level 2 Field Hospital No. 6 held a meeting and worked with the leaders of Bentiu Hospital to learn about the complicated cholera situation in this area.
Faced with the risk of spreading the epidemic, Level 2 Field Hospital No. 6 quickly deployed practical support activities such as donating important medical supplies including masks, quick hand sanitizer, medical gloves and meaningful gifts for children being treated at the hospital.
The activity not only aims to reduce the risk of disease spread but also contributes to raising awareness among medical staff at Bentiu Hospital about how to prevent cholera.
At the same time, Level 2 Field Hospital No. 6 also spread the spirit of solidarity, sharing and joining hands with the local community in efforts to repel the epidemic.
With a sense of responsibility, enthusiasm and humanity, Vietnam's "blue beret soldiers" continue to do well in foreign affairs, affirming the role of military doctors in international missions. The image of Uncle Ho's soldiers is once again highlighted, contributing to building the image of Vietnam as a peaceful, responsible and humane country in the eyes of international friends.
This is a meaningful activity that not only demonstrates the spirit of mutual love but also is a practical and meaningful welcome towards the major holidays of the Vietnam People's Army and the National Defense Day, affirming the spirit and mettle of Vietnam in the international arena.
