Closing ceremony of the 11th Northeast Ethnic Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival

On the afternoon of November 4, 2024, in Lang Son city, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Lang Son province to organize the closing ceremony of the 11th Northeast Ethnic Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival in 2024.

Attending the closing ceremony were Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province; Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Festival; Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Steering Committee of the Festival; leaders of the Department of Ethnic Culture, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; representatives of departments, branches, sectors, organizations, armed forces in Lang Son province and leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, delegation of officials, artisans, actors, tour guides, athletes from 8 provinces participating in the Festival; units participating in displays and exhibitions at the Festival.

The 11th Cultural, Sports and Tourism Festival of the Ethnic Groups in the Northeast in 2024, associated with the 193rd anniversary of the founding of Lang Son province (November 4, 1831 - November 4, 2024) and the 115th anniversary of the birth of comrade Hoang Van Thu (November 4, 1909 - November 4, 2024), took place with many cultural, sports and tourism activities such as: performances, introduction of festival excerpts, traditional cultural rituals; display, exhibition to introduce and promote traditional cultural products and cuisine, tourism of localities; mass art festival and performance of costumes of ethnic groups in the Northeast region; competitions in sports such as tug of war, stick pushing, shuttlecock throwing, stilt walking; competition to demonstrate tour guide skills; exhibition "Cultural characteristics of ethnic groups in the Northeast region in the cultural community of ethnic groups in Vietnam"; Photo exhibition "The big family of ethnic groups in the Northeast region - Preserving and promoting national cultural identity"...

Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to groups with many achievements contributing to the organization of the Festival.

The activities attracted a large number of people and tourists to visit and experience. The festival has left a deep impression in the hearts of each person and tourist near and far, truly becoming a practical cultural activity contributing to honoring, preserving and promoting national cultural identity, promoting tourism and cultural activities in the Northeast region to people across the country and international friends.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee of the Festival awarded 79 prizes to participating delegations in 6 cultural and tourism activities, including 23 A prizes; 28 B prizes; 28 C prizes.

Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to individuals with many achievements contributing to the organization of the Festival.

Regarding sports activities, the mass athlete delegation of Thai Nguyen province won the first prize; the second prize went to the mass athlete delegation of Bac Giang and Bac Kan provinces; the third prize went to the mass athlete delegation of Lang Son, Ha Giang, and Tuyen Quang provinces; and the consolation prize went to the mass athlete delegation of Cao Bang province.

Leaders of the Department of Ethnic Culture and leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province presented the flags to the mass athlete delegations of the provinces.

On this occasion, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded Certificates of Merit to 11 groups and 4 individuals for their contributions to the organization of the Festival. 13 groups and 4 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in organizing the Festival.

Leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Lang Son province presented the flag to host the 12th Northeastern Provinces Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival to the leaders of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province.
