Cultural performance to welcome the ceremony.

With the theme "Preserving, promoting and disseminating the traditional cultural identity of ethnic groups with very small populations", the Festival has contributed to concretizing the goals, tasks and strategic breakthrough solutions at the National Cultural Conference to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party; "Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development" and to "Let culture light the way for the nation" according to Uncle Ho's teachings. At the same time, the Festival has strengthened the great national unity bloc; honored and promoted the good traditional cultural identity values of ethnic groups with a population of less than 10,000 people nationwide in particular and the traditional cultural identity of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups in general.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded first, second, third place and encouragement flags to the 8 provinces participating in the National Sports Festival. The first place overall prize went to Lai Chau.

For cultural activities, the Organizing Committee awarded 9 A, B, C prizes to delegations participating in the exhibition space, introducing typical cultural products; 45 A, B, C prizes to delegations participating in the mass art festival; 9 A, B, C prizes for the traditional costume performance program; 8 A, B prizes for performing, introducing excerpts of festivals, traditional cultural rituals and 8 A, B prizes to delegations with achievements in performing traditional crafts of ethnic groups with a population of less than 10,000 people.

The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to all delegations participating in the festival.

Evaluating the results of the organization and closing ceremony of the festival, Comrade Tong Thanh Hai, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Festival Organizing Committee affirmed: The opening program of the Festival ensured solemnity and grandeur with political and cultural significance, leaving a good impression on the audience; spreading the traditional and unique cultural values of ethnic groups with a population of less than 10,000 people. The festival received deep attention from leaders of the Party, State, central departments, ministries and branches who attended, directed and encouraged artisans, actors and athletes.

At the end of the Festival, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to 18 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in participating in the first Cultural Festival of Ethnic Groups with a population of less than 10,000 people in Lai Chau in 2023; The Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 20 collectives and 30 individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing the first Cultural Festival of Ethnic Groups with a population of less than 10,000 people, Lai Chau Culture - Tourism Week in 2023.

On this occasion, Lai Chau province awarded the flag to host the 2nd Cultural Festival of Ethnic Groups with a population of less than 10,000 people in 2028 to Lao Cai province.
