After 2 exciting days, on the evening of April 20, the Organizing Committee of the 2024 Lao Cai Provincial Badminton and Table Tennis Club Tournament closed and awarded prizes to the athletes.
The badminton and table tennis tournament of Lao Cai province clubs is a traditional tournament organized every year by the Department of Culture and Sports.
Participating in the tournament, athletes competing in badminton and table tennis are divided into age groups under 35 years old, 36 - 45 years old, 46 - 50 years old, 51 - 55 years old, 56 - 60 years old and over 61 years old in the following categories: women's doubles, men's doubles, women's singles, men's singles and mixed doubles. The tournament is conducted according to the current Badminton and Table Tennis Rules of the General Department of Physical Training and Sports.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year, the tournament attracted a large number of athletes from all over the province to participate, with 394 athletes from 37 delegations across the province (an increase of nearly 100 athletes and 14 delegations compared to 2023). The delegations have invested in expertise, so they brought attractive matches with many surprises. The tournament was a great success, contributing to spreading the spirit of physical education and sports throughout the province.
After more than 300 table tennis and badminton matches in various categories and ages, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to outstanding athletes.
