A 5-year-old girl in Minh Duc commune (Tu Ky) fell into a pond and died while learning to ride a bicycle.

Specifically, on the afternoon of August 31, NKA, born in 2019, studying at Minh Duc Kindergarten, was practicing riding a bicycle alone on the village road and unfortunately fell into a nearby pond.

At around 5:30 p.m. the same day, A.'s grandfather went looking for her and found her sandals floating on the surface of the pond. After shouting and searching, he found A. submerged in the pond, 2 meters from the shore.

The family quickly took A. to the emergency room but he did not survive.

This is the 5th drowning incident in Tu Ky district since the beginning of April 2024.
